I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly.
Why choose self-pay over insurance?
It’s an important question and your money is valuable, now more than ever.
Choosing not to work directly with insurance allows us greater flexibility in how we approach your care.
You get to choose the counselor you want and who is the right fit for you, without insurance companies telling you who you can and can’t see. You and your counselor collaborate to choose how many sessions you need. Also, often times quality counselors have wait lists and are sought after, and therefore don’t need to take insurance to fill their case loads.
It also protects your privacy by avoiding the requirement of a mental health diagnosis or sharing treatment information with your insurance company. If you have out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
Also important to note: Couples counseling does not have a medical diagnostic code that be reimbursed, regardless of what type of insurance you have.
Therapy isn't simply about feeling better.
It's about changing the way you experience yourself, your relationships, and the life you've been given.
The impact of therapy often extends far beyond the hour we spend together each week. As healing unfolds, many clients begin noticing changes in the way they relate to themselves, the people they love, their work, their faith, and their everyday lives. My hope is that our work together creates lasting change that continues long after therapy ends.
