‘May you come to find that the heartbeat of God is with you and in you as you embrace this journey.’ - Aundi Kolber

GENUINE and AUTHENTIC

God has wired our bodies and our nervous systems for connection: connection with Himself and with relationships around us. So often, we find ourselves lost in disconnection, getting stuck in patterns internally or with those closest to us and it feels rather impossible finding our way back.

That’s where I’m here to help.

I’m Britni, and my greatest passion is helping you find healing and wholeness through EMBODIED LIVING. Our bodies hold memory, our story, and our trauma and it is by attuning and extending compassionate care to our bodies that we can then be reminded and reconnected to our inherent belovedness in Christ.

I first and foremost see counseling as a form of discipleship, where innermost wounds are held, seen, and transformed through the therapeutic connection, accessing the Lord’s love, kindness, and mercy to the parts of us that may seem unbearable to face.

Many approaches to therapy only focus on the mind and wanting to change external behavior, but research shows us that true healing needs a somatic, whole-body approach accompanied by a safe, attuned, empathic other. God does more than reveal truth to us in our struggles. He wants to be WITH us in our places of deepest pain. I know your circumstances are unique, so every step we take is tailored to you and always with an end goal in mind.

I will help you lean into an experiential process within each session, meaning you will engage in moment-to-moment corrective experiences allowing your nervous system to heal in real time.

My genuine and authentic approach allows for secure attachment with me to be cultivated, your aloneness to be undone, and wounds healed, therefore giving you the internal resources you need to thrive and flourish in life!

SAFE AND CONNECTED

My training in AEDP, EFT, and sex therapy means that I have the expertise you need to transform trauma and restore wounded relationships. But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who ‘gets’ it, right?

I’ve walked through darkness in my own life with trauma, perfectionism, body image, postpartum depression, anxiety, spiritual abuse, and emotional dysregulation. I know how deeply rooted shame can take hold of my identity and self worth. From these shared experiences flows a warmth and compassion that forms the foundation of a therapeutic and sacred space.

So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly wants to join you in what you are going through.

  • 'Working with Britni has been impactful in many ways. She has helped me discover parts of myself that have been hidden for many years. Through this, she has provided a safe place to process these parts. I'm also learning to process on my own whereas before I did not have the tools to do so. I have realized that coming up and out of a dark place does not have to be a scary thing when it is met with genuine empathy, trust, and the steadfast love of Jesus. These are all things I see in Britni, and so many more qualities to mention. She is someone who I feel like I've known forever and I'm so grateful for her"

  • Britni has helped my wife and I reconnect in ways we didn’t know we needed. She gave us the tools to express ourselves openly, explore each other with curiosity, and truly understand one another. It’s brought us closer than ever. We’re so grateful for her compassionate guidance as we navigate our emotions and learn to retrain our negative thoughts.

  • I've been a client of Britni's for several years now and I absolutely love having her as my therapist. Britni is the kind of person who lights up a room with her smile, always radiating the joy of the Lord. Her calm and occasional feisty demeanor makes her such a unique person who feels very safe to talk to and makes you know she will fight for her people (her clients!). She pays attention to the atmosphere of the sessions--always making sure to do check-ins throughout the session to see where my comfortability is at, asking thoughtful questions to gain more insight into what all is going on in my life, and constantly encouraging me. She has gone above and beyond to show that she cares for her clients-- making extra counseling sessions fit in when I'm going through a difficult time, sends emails and texts when she is thinking of me or praying for me, and has made such an incredible effort to be a safe space for me to just be me. But one of my favorite things about having Britini as my therapist over these past several years has been that she takes her job seriously and truly considers how much I want to include my faith in our sessions. This was a huge factor for me in wanting to continue having her as my therapist. My faith means more to me than anything else and Britni understands that importance, brings Biblical knowledge and wisdom into our sessions, and strives to challenge me in my faith. I truly hope you consider having her as your therapist. She's made such a difference in my life and I know she will make one in yours too.

  • "Britni was truly incredible- so deeply empathetic and attuned to everything we were feeling as a couple. From the very beginning, she made us feel safe, understood, and cared for. With her gentle guidance, we learned to listen to our own hearts and open up to each other in ways that were healing, honest, and profoundly connecting."
