Meet Britni hosick, lcsw
Experience healing that honors your faith, your story, and your whole self.
I’m an online Christian therapist in Illinois specializing in somatic and relational therapy for individuals and couples who feel stuck beneath the surface and are ready for deep, lasting change.
Sometimes what we've been carrying needs more than understanding.
God has purposefully designed your body and nervous system for connection with Him and with others. But when you've experienced pain, disconnection, or overwhelm, it's easy to feel stuck in patterns that don't fully make sense…. and even harder to shift.
Over time, you may begin to feel like you’ve lost touch with yourself, the people you love, and even from God.
The good news is that God doesn't ask you to hide those places from Him. He meets you there. I believe the places that feel most painful, confusing, or overwhelming are often the very places where His compassion and healing are most deeply experienced.
That conviction shapes the way I approach counseling.
I see it as a space where your story can be gently held and truly seen. Transformation begins through a safe, attuned relationship and a growing awareness of God’s care and presence with you.
Rather than focusing only on thoughts or behaviors, we’ll slow down and begin to notice what’s happening in your inner world and your body in real time.
Together, we’ll stay with those experiences allowing new moments of safety and restoration to unfold so that change happens not just in your mind, but in a way that is deeper and more lasting.
I believe that every time your body begins to experience greater safety, it is a quiet expression of hope and resurrection. It's one more way God gently restores what pain has tried to steal, inviting you into the wholeness He created you for.
This is a collaborative, experiential process.
You won’t be left to figure things out on your own. I’ll be right there with you, helping you gently engage the parts of your story that have felt overwhelming or difficult to face.
I work best with clients who are open to slowing down and exploring their inner experience, rather than looking for quick fixes.
At the heart of this work is the belief that healing happens in connection. It grows not only through insight, but through being known, supported, and met with compassion in the places that have felt most painful.
Over time…. many clients begin to feel more grounded, more connected to their bodies, their relationships, and their faith. As this work begins to take root, they often find themselves moving through life with a greater sense of peace, wholeness, and freedom.
Healing IS possible, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you as you take that next step.
Therapy isn’t just about talking—it’s about experiencing something different.
Here is what therapy with me can feel like..
-
You may have already tried to work through this on your own—reading, reflecting, praying, or talking it through with others.
And while those things can be meaningful, they don’t always reach the deeper places where lasting healing needs to happen.
This work is different.
Healing begins when your story is experienced in a new way—in the presence of someone who is safe, attuned, and able to walk with you through it.
-
In our work together, I’m not sitting back analyzing you—I’m actively with you in the process.
I’ll gently guide you as we engage the parts of your experience that have felt hard to face, helping create space for new, healing moments to unfold.
You won’t have to do this alone—we’ll move through it together.
-
Clients often describe me as warm, present, and deeply attuned—someone who creates a space where they can finally let their guard down.
This becomes a place where you can be fully known without fear of judgment.
Many share that they feel seen, supported, and not alone in ways they haven’t experienced before.
-
For many clients, this becomes a space where their relationship with God feels more personal, present, and healing—not distant or abstract.
That sense of connection can become a foundation for real change—allowing you to move through pain rather than around it.
-
While some approaches focus mainly on insight or behavior change, this work is about creating real, lived experiences of healing.
So the change you’re looking for doesn’t just make sense—it begins to feel different from the inside out.
Over time, this often leads to a deeper sense of peace, clarity, and freedom. description
