About Britni hosick, lcsw
Healing that honors your faith, your story, and your whole self.
Iām an online Christian therapist in Illinois specializing in somatic and relational therapy for individuals and couples who feel stuck beneath the surface and are ready for deep, lasting change.
How I work
When what youāre carrying feels overwhelming or hard to face, it makes sense that youād be looking for support that goes deeper than surface-level solutions.
God has wired your body and nervous system for connectionāconnection with Him and with others. But when youāve experienced pain, disconnection, or overwhelm, itās easy to feel stuck in patterns that donāt fully make sense⦠and even harder to shift.
Over time, this can leave you feeling disconnectedāfrom yourself, your relationships, and even from God.
In our work together, I approach counseling as something deeper than just problem-solving.
I see it as a space where your story can be gently held and truly seenāwhere healing begins to happen through a safe, attuned relationship and a growing awareness of Godās care and presence with you.
Rather than focusing only on thoughts or behaviors, weāll slow down and begin to notice whatās happening in your inner world and your body in real time.
Together, weāll stay with those experiencesāallowing new, healing moments to unfold so that change happens not just in your mind, but in a way that feels deeper and more lasting.
This is a collaborative, experiential process.
You wonāt be left to figure things out on your own. Iāll be right there with youāhelping you gently engage the parts of your story that have felt overwhelming or difficult to face.
I work best with clients who are open to slowing down and exploring their inner experience, rather than looking for quick fixes.
At the heart of this work is the belief that healing happens in connectionānot just through insight, but through being known, supported, and no longer alone in the places that have felt most painful.
Over time, many clients begin to feel more grounded, more connected to their bodies, their relationships, and their faithāand more able to move through life with a greater sense of peace, wholeness, and freedom.
You donāt have to figure out how to get there on your own.
Therapy isnāt just about talkingāitās about experiencing something different.
Here is what therapy with me can feel like..
-
You may have already tried to work through this on your ownāreading, reflecting, praying, or talking it through with others.
And while those things can be meaningful, they donāt always reach the deeper places where lasting healing needs to happen.
This work is different.
Healing begins when your story is experienced in a new wayāin the presence of someone who is safe, attuned, and able to walk with you through it.
-
In our work together, Iām not sitting back analyzing youāIām actively with you in the process.
Iāll gently guide you as we engage the parts of your experience that have felt hard to face, helping create space for new, healing moments to unfold.
You wonāt have to do this aloneāweāll move through it together.

Clients often describe me as warm, present, and deeply attunedāsomeone who creates a space where they can finally let their guard down.
This becomes a place where you can be fully known without fear of judgment.
Many share that they feel seen, supported, and not alone in ways they havenāt experienced before.
-
For many clients, this becomes a space where their relationship with God feels more personal, present, and healingānot distant or abstract.
That sense of connection can become a foundation for real changeāallowing you to move through pain rather than around it.
-
While some approaches focus mainly on insight or behavior change, this work is about creating real, lived experiences of healing.
So the change youāre looking for doesnāt just make senseāit begins to feel different from the inside out.
Over time, this often leads to a deeper sense of peace, clarity, and freedom. description
